In a bit of a shocker considered the play in the first 20 minutes, visiting Santa Clara came from behind and beat St. Mary's 57-55, surviving 17 points, 14 rebounds and five blocked shots from Brad Waldow. Beau Levesque contributed 12/6 for the Gaels. A backcourt points onslaught downed the Moraga-ites, the last a trey with two seconds on the clock that did the trick.
