Baker is a repeat recipient of the weekly departmental accolade after he led the team in scoring and helped the Nanooks (16-9, 11-6 GNAC) to a home split over the weekend.
He scored 30 points on 12-of-21 (.571) shooting and added six rebounds, seven assists and two steals in the two games as Alaska clinched its second consecutive Great Northwest Athletic Conference Championship tournament berth with the win on Saturday.
In Thursday's outing against Western Oregon, Baker scored a game-high 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting, which included four made 3-pointers. He also dished out three assists while bringing down five rebounds. Two nights later, the senior overcame an early-game injury to finish with 10 points while tallying four assists and a pair of steals.
Baker has scored in double figures in four straight games and 19 of the team's 25 games heading into the final week of the regular season.
For the season, Baker ranks 14th in the GNAC with a team-best 14.6 points per game. He is shooting 44.5 percent from the floor and better than 43 percent from downtown. Baker averages 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals per outing.
