JC game scores from Friday

* Cabrillo College 64 - West Valley College 45

From Cabrillo Men's Basketball:
Seahawks get back to winning ways, defeat West Valley 64-45 at home to improve to 18-7 overall and 9-1 in conference. The West Valley Vikings put up a fight and led at the half 26-25. In the second half the Hawks slowly pulled away and put the game in the bag.

In their first game after seeing their perfect conference record go down and a 10 game winning streak ended Cabrillo came out slow and sloppy in the 1st half against West valley. Struggling to score in the first half and down 26-25 at the break the Seahwaks got back to playing their brand of basketball behind the play of Warren Jackson. Jackson would again lead the charge with another strong second half performance this time helping to lift Cabrillo to a big 64-45 win.

Jackson's 21 points would lead all scorers and he would snag 6 rebounds on the night, Allen Wilcher had a big second half as well and he would finish with 13 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 assists. Zavon Jackson would add 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 steals while Latrell Wilson chipped in 10 points, 6 boards and 3 assists. The win improves Cabrillo to 18-7 on the season, 9-1 in the conference and moved them back into first place in the Coast Conference race with 2 games remaining. Up next for the Seahawks is a road contest vs. DeAnza on Wednesday night at 7pm.

From Yuba College Men's Basketball:
Yuba beats Los Medanos College 93-64 at home. With the win Yuba 49'ers clinch their 8th straight Bay Valley Conference title and their 9th in the last 12 years. Yuba improves to 14-0 in league and 20-4 overall!!!

* Chabot College 90 - Skyline College 80

The Gladiators take an early lead and never look back. Defeat Skyline 90-80 after great overall teamwork as the Gladiators totaled 21 Assists for the 2nd consecutive game. 8 guys scored 8 or more points in another well rounded team effort.

Cortez Barrett finished the night with a Double-Double. Leo Smith led the team with 7 Assists with Noel Briones dishing out 5 of his own while going 4-4 from the field. Greg Brown connected on 4-5 from beyond the arc. Chabot is now 22-5 on the season & 8-2 in conference play.
