"...Assistant
coach Scott Fisher has accepted the head coaching job at Ohlone College
in Fremont, Calif., his hometown.
Fisher, a
UC Santa Barbara alumnus and a hall of famer as a player and coach in
Australian basketball, joined Gib Arnold's staff in 2010 as director of
operations then was promoted to full assistant after a season. He
handled team academics and oversaw the team's big men.
"(A head
job) means everything in terms of being a basketball coach," Fisher
said. "I feel that I still have a lot to offer as a teacher on the
court. I think this is the best opportunity for me to use my talents..."
Fisher is a graduate of Mission San Jose High.
