Russell to West Georgia

San Jose City College sophomore Andre Russell is headed to Gulf Coast Conference member University of West Georgia on full scholarship. The 6-foot-4 Russell averaged 22.8 points and 9.6 rebounds per game this past season for the Jaguars, shooting 50% from the floor and 76% at the foul line.

Russell, who played prep ball at San Leandro High, scored 50 points along with 14 rebounds on February 1 against Gavilan.

Lavon Gray, out of Bellarmine College Prep and Ohlone College, just finished at UWG, a DII program.
