A trio of Gladiators headed to northern California

CHABOT TRIFECTA headed to Pacific Union College!

Greg Brown, Cortez Barrett and Andrew Rice have all committed to Pacific Union College for the 2014-15 season. All three players were starters and major contributors in last years Final Four team that finished 25-8.

Greg Brown was a two time 1st Team All Conference team member in the tough Coast-North Conference. He originally hails from San Pedro, Ca. Hit the link for some footage from the State Semifinal victory over CCSF

Cortez Barrett came to Chabot as a transfer from Kansas City after being named 1st Team All Missouri in high school. He earned 1st Team All State Tournament in the California Community College playoffs after huge performances in the Gladiators run to the Final Four. Andrew Rice started most of the season at center for the Gladiators where he was a defensive force for Chabot. He should be a force in the Cal Pac Conference.

It was a tough decision for all three players, who each had several schools interested. In the end they wanted to stay together and stay in California. Coach Greg Rahn of Pacific Union did a great job recruiting this crew and should really make some noise this year. Pacific Union is an NAIA institution located in Angwin, California.

The threesome will get to play all around northern California as Pacific Union is in the same league as Cal Maritime, Menlo College, Simpson College and UC Merced.
