After falling to Stanford 79-76, Cal Poly Pomona traveled to Tucson to challenge Arizona and the Wildcats prevailed 67-51 Sunday night. In 29 minutes (which is the most important number), Brandon Ashley produced 10 points, seven boards and two steals. Elliott Pitts tallied two assists in 12 minutes.
For the DII visitors, junior guard Barry (Bishop O'Dowd) Bell totaled five points, three rebounds and two steals.
