Here are the scores and more from Friday's action.

At the San Jose City College tourney:

* Merritt College 77 -  San Jose CC 74

The Jaguars led 40-31 after 20 minutes. Five Thunderbirds scored in double figures: Leo Smith 16, Denzel Bellot 12, Rodney Pope 11, Jovantae Carlton 10 and Travon King 10. The latter's 10 rebounds gave him a double-double on the night. For the Jags, Josue Salaam, led with 19 points while Maurice Joiner earned a 15 point, 10 board double-double.

* Foothill College 72 - Cosumnes River College 54

For CRC, David Straughter posted a 10 point, right rebound line while teammate Will White also tallied 10.

* Lassen College 84 - Monterey Peninsula College 83

"Lobos lose a nail-biter to #10 Lassen College 83-84. Great overall team effort! Some statistical highlights include Will Burkett with 17 pts 4 rebs, Mitch Wood 18 pts 5 rebs, Stephen Dorsey 17 pts 7 rebs and Isaac Clark finished with 19 pts."

At the Ohlone-hosted Jonathan Wallace Memorial tourney:

* Cañada College 116 - Mt. San Jacinto 108 OT

This after a 78-56 win versus San Joaquin Delta the night before. Rhondell Goodwin exploded for 31 points, Crisshawn Clark 22 (plus none boards, eight assists and three steals), Manny Martin scored 17 (plus 15 rebounds) and Israel Hakim finished with 14.

* San Joaquin Delta College 73 - Hartnell College 56

A solid bounceback victory for the Stockton-ites.

* Ohlone College 72 - Cabrillo College 51

* Modesto Junior College 63 - Shasta College 51

At the Las Positas-hosted Tony Costello Memorial tourney:

* Contra Costa College 60 - Diablo Valley College 57

"The Comets rebounded from last night's loss, defeating rival Diablo Valley College 60-57 in the consolation bracket of the Las Positas Tournament. Trailing 36-30 at half, the Comets played intense defense in the 2nd half, holding DVC to only 21 2nd half points. G Tajai Johnson led the Comets with 16 points 5 rebounds and 4 assists, while F Justin Johnson added 12 points and 8 rebounds."

* College of the Siskiyous 75 - Gavilan College 74

* Sacramento City College 98 - Las Positas College 81 game report

LPC's McKayle Harnell continued his productivity with 27 points despite the loss.
