UC Santa Cruz ventured to the San Joaquin Valley on Sunday to face Mountain West Conference member Fresno State and the latter took a 77-36 win.
For the Slugs, James (Sacramento High) Townsend totaled 10 points plus seven rebounds in 24 minutes while freshman teammate Corey (Half Moon Bay High) Cilia went for 12 points in 16 minutes.
