Up in the state capital, the Hornets grounded the Eagles 90-71 last night. The score was 41 apiece at halftime.

Cody Demps paced the victors with a career best 22 points (6-10 overall, 10-10 at the charity stripe) and Mikh McKinney posted a 14 point, 12 assists double-double, with the icing being six steals.

Sacramento State is now in first place of the Big Sky Conference with a 5-1 record. This was the first league defeat for the Eagles.
