AZ St. 81, AZ 78
In Tempe yesterday, Arizona State got by Arizona 81-78 in a surprise to many. The Sun Devils shot 50% overall, 7-15 from long distance and 22-28 at the charity stripe. That was 14 more free throw attempts than the Wildcats. Brandon Ashley went for 13 points and six boards in 30 minutes.
