Devine on MPC

From John Devine:

"A recent three-game winning streak -- the first of the season -- has catapulted the Lobos back into the playoff discussion.

While a Coast Conference title is out of the question, MPC is locked in a battle for the second spot with four other teams, including Wednesday's opponent in Cabrillo.

For the Lobos to earn a trip to the Northern California Tournament, they will have to go 3-1 down the stretch.

Part of the resurgence is seeing guards Devin Koplin and Isaac Clark on the same page, combining for 55 points in their last game.

Former Alvarez High standout Mitch Wood is averaging 11 points a game during the Lobos three-game winning streak, while Stephen Dorsey is another offensive option.

Extended and productive minutes from the bench has made MPC's starting five stronger down the stretch."
