McKinney honored

Mikh McKinney was name the Big Sky Conference Co-Player of the Week on Monday:

"McKinney, a 6-foot-1 senior guard from Union, City, Calif., averaged 20.5 points, seven assists, four steals, and three rebounds per game as the Hornets earned home wins over Montana State and Montana. McKinney shot .520 percent from the field, .455 percent from 3-point range, and .909 percent from the free-throw line. McKinney has now been named Player of the Week three consecutive weeks, four times this season, and six times in his career.

McKinney opened with 23 points, eight assists, five steals and three rebounds in 38 minutes, helping the Hornets to a 75-59 win over Montana State. In a 70-69 win over Montana on Saturday, McKinney scored 18 points with six assists, three rebounds and three steals. Sacramento State snapped a 15-game losing streak to Montana and improved to 9-1 in conference."
