Nor Cal JC scores from Thursday

Below are the scores from Thursday's games involving northern California JC teams:

* Diablo Valley College 77 - Sacramento City College 62

It was a 42-29 second half that did the trick for the Vikings.

For DVC: Olajuwon (Fresno City College/Deer Valley College) Garner was tops with 19 (three treys), Jelani (Freedom High) Hardaway scored 15 (three treys) , Rico (Half Moon Bay High) Nuno 14 and Jacques (McClymonds High) Carraway 13.

For SCC: Brandon (Valley High) Rowden was in front with 15 points and teammate Victor (Franklin High) Rustin tallying 12 points plus six boards.

* Cosumnes River College 72 - San Joaquin Delta College 61 box

For CRC: Every starter scored in double figures as David (Burbank High) Straughter scored 16 points on 7-7 shooting, Mitchell (Burbank High) Love was right behind with 16 and six assists, Donald (Center High) Mims provided 12 points, seven boards and seven blocked shots, Josh (Galt High) DeLa Cruz concluded with 12 points plus nine assists and Phil (Edison High) Randles tallied 10 points. Off the bench, Daylon (Edison High) Potts corralled 10 boards in 17 minutes.

For SJDC: Troy (Armijo High) Anderson led the way with both 22 points and 15 boards plus four blocked shots.

* Sierra College 70 - Modesto Junior College 52

Modesto Bee:

"Luka Petkovic scored 13 points and Joe Hamilton added 10, but the team scoring woes of the Modesto Junior College men’s basketball team continued in a 70-52 loss to Sierra.

The Pirates (5-19 overall, 2-10 in the Big 8) trailed by only five points at halftime and were within eight points with eight minutes remaining before the Wolverines (14-12, 7-5) pulled away to the victory. Sierra placed four players in double figures, led by Isaiah Pineiro with 19 points..."

Santa Rosa Junior College 78 - American River College 56

For SRJCParker (Humboldt State) Farris 15 points led the crew, followed by Davone (Castlemont High) Oliver's 14, Markel (Cal Poly/Salesian High) Leonard's 11 with Siaan (Concord High) Rojas and Corey (Cardinal Newman High) Hammell each with 10 points.
