At home, UC Riverside pulled an upset in defeating UC Irvine 70-63 on Saturday. Taylor Johns was instrumental in the victory with 21 points, 10 rebounds and five steals. The Highlanders owned the boards 41-28.
For the Anteaters, Will Davis ended the night with nine points and three blocked shots while teammate Mike Best provided eight points and five boards.
