Out of Casper College and Heritage High, the 6-foot-6 Briggs averaged 9.5 points plus 4.8 rebounds this season for the state champions while shooting 46%, 44% and 68% respectively.
Coach Rod Barnes just received a five-year contract extension. Cal State Bakersfield finished 24-9 in the 2015-16 season, won the Wwstern Athletic Conference tournament championship and made it to the Big Dance, falling 82-68 to Oklahoma.
