The Tigers land another transfer

Verbal Commits: "Former Duquesne F TySean Powell is transferring to Pacific."

Powell is a 6-foot-8, 215 forward. In just under 17 minutes a game, he averaged 6.3 points on 59% overall shooting and 58% from the foul line. He grabbed 4.9 rebounds a game alongside 19 shotblocks in 26 games.

From this article:

"...Utilized as one of first players off the bench, Powell, 6 feet 8, was averaging 6.3 points and 4.9 rebounds in 20.6 minutes per game this season. Though his scoring was about level with where it was his freshman season, he displayed an improved back-to-the-basket game while continuing to showcase his exceptional athleticism, seen most often with thunderous, high-flying dunks...

...The Twinsburg, Ohio, native’s time at Duquesne didn’t come without challenges, some of which were self-inflicted. He was suspended for the first three games this season for an off-court violation. The previous season, he incurred a similar suspension, albeit for just a February game against George Washington...."

Powell is the second four-year level transfer to Stockton who will be redshirting in the upcoming season.
