It's more than shoes and gear

When the various 'bigtime' sponsored travel team programs pound their respective chests and proudly exhort 'we move guys on' just remember that 90%-95% of 'their' kids were moving on before joining up.

The real measurements are how kids were helped in getting better as a player, person and student, not necessarily in that order, through being on the roster of Team A or Team B.

Also, it's about chances given to kids nobody knew about or wanted which resulted in these individuals earning a college education opportunity.

You and I could 'coach' the likes of a Ben Simmons, a DeAndre Ayton, a Lonzo Ball, et al to a college 'ship. Parents should align their dribbling/passing/shooting progeny with those who have an established reputation for developing kids wholistically, thus aiding them for the rest of their lives.
