Cal State Northridge used a 52-28 first half (the scoring was even thereafter) to take care of business against Pomona Pitzer 96-72 on Friday. Darin (Sheldon High/Washington) Johnson scored 20 points in 21 minutes for the victors, shooting 8-11, 4-5, 0-0 respectively while Kendall (Deer Valley High/UNLV) Smith enjoyed 17 points with 6-13, 4-5 and 1-2 accuracy.
For Pomona Pitzer, freshman Micah (Lick Wilmerding High) Elan led with both 19 points and five assists (6-13, 3-5, 4-4 shooting) with sophomore Daniel (Los Altos High) Rosenbaum contributing 17 points.
