On Saturday in Surf City, UC Santa Cruz downed Life Pacific 72-60, using a 42-27 second 20 minutes to put the game away. Corey (Half Moon Bay High) Celia led the Slugs with both 20 points and eight boards. Will (Casa Grande High) Crain filled the stat sheet via 11 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two blocks plus Kyle (Whitney High) Creighton provided 11 points and seven boards. Also noteworthy: freshman Vinay (Santa Clara High) Narayanam finished with 12 points on 4-4 long distance accuracy.
