"With Miami in another tight contest, it was time to see who would step up against a feisty Kings team. The answer? Tyler Johnson.
Johnson scored 11 points in the fourth quarter and overtime period combined, with his points coming from both inside and outside. In particular, he nailed a clutch catch-and-shoot 3-pointer to put the HEAT up 101-94 with 2:07 remaining in overtime.
Johnson also had a nice surge at the beginning of the second quarter as the primary ball handler with Dragić resting on the bench. For a perfect example of his improved playmaking, look no further than a pick-and-roll with Willie Reed.
With 8:08 to go in the second quarter, Johnson drove inside from the top or the arc thanks to the screen from Reed. Once Johnson recognized DeMarcus Cousins came over to contest, he passed it to Reed, who finished the easy jam.
