* Didn't see this coming: Jonah (Willow Glen High) Underwood of San Jose City College leading the conference at 17.8 points per game? Want to see him shooting better than 43% though. He is also grabbing 7.0 boards a night plus 2.0 blocked shots.

* Mohammed (Fremont High) Abdulrasul of West Valley College is second in scoring at 17.3. The young man can shoot, hence his 92% accuracy at the foul line so his 39% overall and 25% from three-point range is surprising. Not best suited as the #1 scoring option -- maybe third would be more appropriate. His shooting percentage would be higher if there were stronger scoring options on the team.
