ChicoER: "The Butte College men’s basketball team finished the San Joaquin Delta College Classic on Sunday with an 85-80 win over Merced in the tournament’s consolation final.
Darae Elliot led the Roadrunners with 27 points while earning an all-tournament selection. Josiah Wood had 12 points, and the trio of Darrien Manker, John Moscoso and Andrew Whitsett all scored 10 points each.
Butte used an 8-0 run at the end of the first half to go into the break with a 36-32 lead. From there, the Roadrunners led by as many as 56-44 on the way to securing a win to close the tournament."
