After being a force on land and in the water at Leland High, James Kelbert moved on to Pomona-Pitzer and has continued his two sport participation.
Pitzer was a member of the water polo team which made it to the NCAA playoffs before falling to California, the eventual national champions.
The Pomona-Pitzer basketball team features a large contingent of northern California-connected players and the 6-foot-3 Kelbert recently scored his career high -- 25 points -- last Tuesday. The Sagehens are 10-8 overall this season, 6-3 in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and currently in second place.
Consider this: participating in two college sports while also succeeding with the high level of Pomona-Pitzer's academics.
