Austin named Mountain West Conference Player of the Week

"Boise State sophomore guard Paris Austin has been named Mountain West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, February 5. It is the first career MW weekly accolade for Austin.

Helped Boise State move into sole possession of first place in the Mountain West standings with a road win over Colorado State, 79-76, on Jan. 31 and a home victory against Utah State, 72-70, on Feb. 4.

Averaged 20.5 points on 68.4 percent (13-of-19) shooting from the field and a 77.8 percent (14-for-18) mark from the free-throw line over the two contests.
Scored a career-high 25 points versus Colorado State, including 19 in the second half.

Went a perfect 10-for-10 from the charity stripe in the final 20 minutes, including six makes in the final 26 seconds to seal the victory over the Rams.

Tallied 16 points against Utah State with 12 of those coming in the second half.
Shot 6-of-9 from the field versus the Aggies, while adding a game-high four assists. "
