"#1 Cal Maritime will face #4 Antelope Valley in the first semifinal, followed by #2 Benedictine-Mesa versus #3 Pacific Union, at the California Pacific Conference Championship tournament. The semis tip-off on Sunday, Feb. 26, at 2:00 p.m. at Cal Maritime in Vallejo, Calif., with the second game scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m.
The championship game is Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 7:30 p.m.
The host Keelhaulers are looking for their sixth consecutive trip to the NAIA national tournament in Branson, Mo., and own a Cal Pac ten-game tournament winning streak.
They face a hungry UAV team which is making its first appearance in the post-season tourney in its first season of NAIA post-season eligibility. CSUM won both regular season meetings (78-62 in Vallejo and 85-78 in Lancaster.)
BenU is also in its first season of NAIA post-season eligibility, and comes in as the #2 seed after splitting with CSUM in the regular season (CSUM nudged past by a -2 points allowed on the tiebreaker). The Redhawks have a program-best 16 wins.
#3 seed PUC is in the tournament for the first time since the event was adjusted to a four-team format. The Pioneers, with 14 wins overall including 9 in Cal Pac play, is having its best season in over a decade."
