"FOUR CCAA MEN'S BASKETBALL TEAMS NAMED IN FIRST NCAA REGIONAL RANKINGS"

"Four California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) men's basketball programs were named in the first NCAA Regional Poll.

In order for teams to earn a bid to the 2017 NCAA Division II Tournament they will need to be ranked in the top eight of the final regional poll, which will be announced via live selection show on NCAA.com Sunday, March 5th. 

California Baptist (21-2) leads the West Region rankings and are followed by No. 2 UC San Diego (19-5), No. 3 San Francisco State (19-3), No. 4 Western Washington (18-5), No. 5 Chico State (16-6), No. 6 Sonoma State (17-5), No. 7 Hawaii Pacific (17-2), No. 8 Dixie State (16-6), No. 9 Alaska Anchorage (15-5) and No. 10 Chaminade (15-6).

UC San Diego, San Francisco State, Chico State and Sonoma State have already punched their ticket to the postseason play, earning a bid to the upcoming CCAA Basketball Tournament."
