Friday: Merritt 73, Alameda 70

On Friday, Merritt College edged host College of Alameda 73-70 with the Thunderbird scoring evenly distributed: Thomas (Vanden High) Avent led with 15 points, Malik (Deer Valley High) Thompson earned a 13 point, 12 rebound double-double, Tyrell (El Cerrito High) Alcorn and Oliver (Valley Christian High) Davis scored 12 apiece and Obie (Northgate High) Richard tallied 10.
