"STUTEVILLE, HOOKER SPLIT #BIGSKYMBB HONORS"

"Last week Sacramento State’s Eric Stuteville and North Dakota’s Quinton Hooker led their teams to crucial Big Sky Conference wins. Because of their strong performances, both men shared the league’s Player of the Week honor.

Stuteville, a senior from Orangeville, Calif., led the Hornets to wins over league-leading Weber State and Idaho State last week. The senior averaged 20.0 points, 13.0 rebounds, 7.0 offensive rebounds and 2.5 blocked shots per game while shooting .708 (17-of-24) from the field.

In Thursday’s 77-74 win over the Wildcats, Stuteville posted game-highs in points (22), rebounds (10) and blocks (3). He went 9-for-13 from the field and 4-for-6 from the free-throw line to hand WSU its second conference loss of the season. Of his 10 rebounds, six came on the offensive side of the glass.

In Saturday’s 75-63 win over ISU, the Sac State center scored 18 points and pulled down a whopping 16 rebounds with a pair of blocks to lead the Hornets to their second straight win. Half of his 16 boards were of the offensive variety which led to an 18-4 advantage in second-chance scoring for Sac State. In Big Sky play, Stuteville is averaging 13.6 points and 7.2 rebounds..."
