After enjoying a tremendous season with San Jose City College (18.1 points, 10.2 rebounds, shooting 49%, 40% and 82%), Akil (Evergreen Valley High) Douglas signed on with nearby Santa Clara. Some wondered whether the 6-foot-10 190 forward would play or redshirt in an attempt to add both weight and strength to his frame
The Broncos enjoyed a remarkable and unexpected season (17-16, 10-8 in West Coast Conference action) and Douglas was active on the roster but played in just 12 games for a total of 42 minutes.
It sure seemed like he could have helped Santa Clara. Was he bothered by injuries?
