Just asking

Nothing against recently hired New Mexico State Coach Chris Jans -- in fact, congratulations to him. It looks like he has been successful on the court wherever he has coached, be it heading a program or as an assistant.

But this question bears asking: would he had been hired, let alone be in consideration, if he were a black coach, considering the circumstances that forced his departure from Bowling Green?
