A Richard Longrus mention

From Percy Allen:
"Washington State dropped its second straight game during its Australian exhibition tour and lost 77-66 to Brisbane Spartans. Looks as if coach Ken Bone is playing an eight-man lineup with Brock Motum and Reggie Moore playing 32-plus minutes. Bone has also rotated guards DaVonte Lacy and Mike Ladd out of the starting lineup as well as big men D.J. Shelton and Richard Longrus."
Note that last name. He grabbed five boards in 18 minutes.

Three NorCal talents trippin'

Alex Kline/TheRecruitScoop has items on a trio of talents:
"... Richard Longrus is at Utah & Grant Verhoeven is at Stanford ..."
and
"Louisville will have ... Stephen Domingo ... on campus"
Think about it. If you are Verhoeven, how do you decide between Cal, Stanford and St. Mary's, taking into account both basketball and educational opportunities? That's an incredibly tough one.

A Richard Longrus update

The Gonzaga fan site The Slipper Still Fits has this note up about Richard Longrus:
I asked Longrus which schools have extended scholarship offers. "UCLA, St. Mary’s, Colorado, Gonzaga, UNLV and Santa Clara," said Longrus.

Longrus said he is in no hurry to reach a decision. "I’ll probably narrow it down sometime after July," said Longrus.

Longrus has visited Cal, Stanford, UCLA, St. Mary’s and Santa Clara already.

"I’ll probably visit Gonzaga, Washington, maybe Colorado and Texas," said Longrus.

Longrus said he has a 4.2 GPA.

-- Greg Hicks
Congrats to Santa Clara for making a run even if it is a longshot. Getting a visit says a lot.

A second congratulations to Mongrus for his academic focus.
