On Saturday, host Cal State East Bay downed Cal State Monterey Bay 76-61. Senior guard Gabe (Fremont High) Kindred paced the Pioneers with 28 points, going an astounding 16-16 at the foul line. Backcourt mate Mark (Berkeley High) Samuels provided 15 points, 9-10 at the charity stripe.
