From the Contra Costa College Mens Basketball Facebook page: "The Comets stopped their 3 game losing streak in resounding fashion, defeating Modesto College in the first round of their own tournament 86-70. The Comets fell down by 13 points early, but battled back with tough defense and strong play in transition. G Davion Mize was superb, notching a triple-double with 33 points, 10, rebounds, and 10 assists. G Armein Outing chipped in 10, Forwards Daseion Cole and Tim Jordan and G AJ Newell had 8 apiece. The Comets are back in action Thursday at 8 o'clock in the 2nd round of the tournament vs either Mendocino or Merced College... GO COMETS!!!!"
