San Diego State and Marquette tangled on Sunday night and it was the Aztecs prevailing 67-59. Tournament MVP Xavier Thames exploded for 29 points to lead all scorers while frosh teammate Dakarai Allen chipped in with eight points, three rebounds and a pair of assists.
