UC San Diego got by host Chico State 66-64 last night despite 17 points plus nine boards from Wildcat Amir Carraway. Jordan Semple scored but eight points yet grabbed 11 boards, blocked four shots and was credited with a trio of steals for the Wildcats while Giordano Estrada sank 4-7 from long distance to finish with 12 points.
Chico won the battle of the boards 40-32 and out-shot their opponents 43% to 37%.
