Eric Prisbell's feature on Texas Coach Rick Barnes contains the good, the bad and the ugly involved in big time recruiting.
A few takeaways from this piece:
* It is true -- some coaches can't 'afford' certain players and fans will never know this real story.
* Sometimes it is visible but mostly not -- fans just don't have any way on knowing about the internal dynamics on a so-called team and what a pain it must be to be heading a group better described as individuals.
* Any AAU/club team coach who steers his players away from any school because of a personal beef does not meet the definition of a grownup.
