* Las Positas College 90 - Cañada College 71

From Las Positas College Men's Basketball:
Davis Kimble wasn't about to let LPC lose to Cañada again.

Kimble scored 17 of his game-high 27 points in the second half as the Hawks avenged an earlier loss to the Colts with a 90-71 victory in Livermore.

Cañada (5-19 overall) entered with only one Coast Conference North Division victory, and that was an 80-64 defeat of LPC on Jan. 15. But they fell to 1-8 in the conference primarily because they couldn't stop Kimble from driving to the basket or sinking three-pointers.

Kimble's 10 points helped stake the Hawks (11-13, 3-6) to a 38-34 halftime advantage. LPC was ahead 55-50 midway through the second half when Kimble hit consecutive threes, which were followed by back-to-back threes by Jacob Contreras and Steve Cazares.

The three-point flurry put the Hawks up 67-50 with 9:48 remaining. Cañada would get no closer than within 11 points the rest of the game.

Cazares finished with 17 points for LPC, and Uche Okpalaugo added 13.
