On Wednesday night, San Diego State was down by nine points against host Boise State but came back to win 67-65 on a three-pointer with four seconds remaining. Surprisingly, both teams shot above 50% with the Aztecs finishing at 58%, the Broncos at 51%. Coach Steve Fisher's guys sent BSU to the line but eight times.
Xavier Thames once again paced his squad in scoring, this time with 23 points and made the pass that led to San Diego State's game-winning basket.
