Marquese Chriss, who verbally committed to Washington, is one of 21 players who will participate in the USA Basketball Men’s U18 National Team training camp, that begins Tuesday at the U.S. Olympic Training Center (USOTC) in Colorado Springs, Colo.
He’s hoping to be selected to the 12-man team that will compete in the 2014 FIBA Americas U18 Championship at the USOTC on June 20-24.
Chriss, a 6-9, 200-pound forward from Elk Grove, Calif., is a long shot to make the team considering a dozen invitees have prior USA basketball experience.
