For Speed City, Chris (Delano High) Sterling broke out for 27 points as well as five boards, five steals and four assists.

* Merritt College 83 - Hartnell College 68 box

Sophomore guard Denzell (McClymonds High) Bellot produced a 13 point, 11 rebound double-double and four other Thunderbirds scored in double figures: Jamelle (Castlemont High) Corbino (plus eight boards), Leo (Oakland Tech) Smith 15, Jovantae (El Cerrito High) Carlton 14 and Rodney (Freedom High) Pope 10 plus a team best six assists.
