The former Palma High and Indiana Pacers guard is rediscovering his shot in the NBA's D League with the Austin Spurs. I can't think of a better fit for the 6-foot-5 Johnson in his attempt to return to the NBA.
Johnson is averaging 13.8 points a game since signing with Austin, getting 30 plus minutes a night on the hardwood.
The 25-year-old is an intelligent player, who won't be outworked. He's the type of player that would fit right in with the NBA's Spurs if an opportunity presents itself down the road.
For now Johnson is regaining his confidence, shooting just under 48 percent from the field, showing a willingness to distribute and bang on the boards.
Johnson scored 14 points versus the Santa Cruz Warriors last night.
