For CRC, Trenton Anthony led with 20 points, Mitchell Love scored 17 and center Donald Mims was strong inside producing 14 rebounds, 10 blocks and eight points.

* College of Marin 92 - College of the Redwoods 86

Former Drake High standouts Luke Chavez and Brandon Kenilvort combined to score 45 points as the College of Marin men's basketball team built a big lead then held off College of the Redwoods, 92-86 at the Kris Kringle Invitational. Chavez scored a team-high 25 points for the Mariners (8-2) while Kenilvort scored 20.

"We were up by 22 with like 10 minutes left in the game and they just started knocking down a bunch of 3s to get themselves back in the game and we just held them off down the stretch," COM coach Dave Granucci said.

Willie Rooks scored 15 and George Johnson added 14 for the Mariners...

* Los Medanos College 76 - Feather River College 75 box

Wayne (Live Oak High) Johnson exploded for 28 points plus 16 rebounds while teammate Javonte (Pittsburg High) Burton tallied 17 on 8-9 shooting. He also grabbed eight boards.

@ the Delta tourney

* Cabrillo College 69 - College of Alameda 56

Cabrillo staved off an Alameda comeback to win its Sac Joaquin Delta Tournament opener. Allen Wilcher scored 21 points and Zavon Jackson and Latrell Wilson each added 15 for the Seahawks, which went up by nearly 20 before Alameda cut it to a basket with little more than a minute to play.

* San Joaquin Delta College 80 - Reedley College 61 box

For SJDC, Jordan (Lodi High) Belasco posted a 23 point, 11 assist double-double while shooting 9-15 overall. Dwayne (Bear Creek High) Lee enjoyed 17 points, going 5-7 from beyond the arc plus, off the bench. Xavier (River City High) Francois created his own double-double via 19 points plus 10 boards, six at the offensive end.
