For the 49ers, Vasilje (Del Campo High) Saraba posted a triple-double of 29 points, 10 boards and 11 assists.

From Yuba College Men's Basketball:

"Yuba loses heartbreaker in championship!!!!

Down 12 at half the 49'ers battled back with heart to take a six point lead with 3:30 left to play. Then things got interesting as the next 8 straight calls went against the young Yuba team. In a one minute span the officials fouled out three Yuba starters and the lead went from up 6 to down 4.

Miguel French had 9 Pts and 7 Rebs off the bench, Manny Malou had 13 Pts and 7 Rebs and Vasilje Saraba did everything he could to keep the 49ers in it by recording only the second triple double in the last 14 years at Yuba College. Saraba finished with 29 points, 10 rebounds , 11 assists and 3 steals! Wasn't quite enough as Yuba lost by 5 points 94-89 Saraba and Manny Malou were also named to the all-tourney team."

Las Positas College 75 - Cabrillo College 69

Las Positas College athletics game reports.

Via Cabrillo Basketball:

"6 days after beating the #3 team in the state Cabrillo was unable to take their show on the road. Traveling to Las Positas proved to be too much for the Seahawks. Cabrillo started strong behind their sophamore trio of Allen Wilcher, Latrell Wilson and Zavon Jackson, LPC answered with a balanced scoring attack getting contributions from everyone who played. With 3 minutes left in the first half Wilcher picked up his 3rd and a 4th foul on back to back possessions, LPC went on a run and took a 36-30 lead at the break.

The 2nd half saw Cabrillo close the gap, and Las Positas take control, the game went back and forth and with 2 minutes left LPC led 70-66. A missed 3 by Cabrillo led to a basket by LPC and the Seahawks were unable to get any closer eventually falling 75-69. Jackson had a career high 26 points, Wilcher had 21 and Wilson added 19 as the trio combined for every made field goal for Cabrillo on the night."
