Denzel Bellot produced a 17 point, 12 rebound double-double, D.J. Kennedy was close behind with 16 and seven, Rodney Pope scored 15 points while Leo Smith totaled 12 points plus seven boards.

From Cabrillo men's basketball:

"In the final game of the Cabrillo Classic, the host Seahawks matched up with the No.3 team in the state Lassen College. It was a battle in the first half with Cabrillo jumping out early to a 13-4 lead only to see Lassen finish the half strong. Up 29-23 as the half wound down, Lassen gave up a lay-up at the buzzer to Zavon Jackson cutting the Lassen lead to 4, 29-25.

The 2nd half was all Cabrillo as the Seahawks would come out on fire, Wilson, Jackson and Allen Wilcher would combine for every made field goal, hit every big shot and propelled Cabrillo to a big home win. The Cabrillo lead got to as many as 18 before Cabrillo settled in with a 71-59 victory. Wilcher led all scorers with 26 points, 22 in the second half. Wilson finished with 22 and Jackson had 12, the sophomore trio had a tremendous weekend and helped Cabrillo even their season record to 4-4."
