St. John's 53, St. Mary's 47

It was a tale of two disparate 20 minutes sessions for St. John's and St. Mary's last night in Jamaica, New York as the Gaels grabbed a 33-18 lead at the first buzzer. But Coach Steve Lavin's guys reversed their fortune to the tune of 35-14 in the second set to grab a 53-47 victory. Brad (Ponderosa High) Waldow was big with 26 points and 11 rebounds but needed 24 shots to reach his total and he also committed seven turnovers. The Gaels just seem out of whack at the moment.
