Still without Alan Williams in the middle, UC Santa Barbara came away with a 75-74 win versus visiting Hawaii on Saturday night.
Michael Bryson played strong for the Gauchos with 21 points, five boards and five assists. Teammates John Green finished with 11 points plus five rebounds and Gabe Vincent also totaled 11. With 42 seconds remaining, Vincent hit a jumper to make it 75-72 and that proved to be the game-winning points.
Roderick Bobbitt didn't shoot well for the Islanders, going 2-8 overall, but did receive credit for six assists, six steals and five caroms.
