Utah 76, California 61

California got bopped back in Salt Lake City by Utah on Sunday 76-61 but a Bay Area bright light emerged. That of Jabari Bird who scored 21 points on 10-14 overall shooting.

Delon Wright was a steady force for Utah compiling 16 points, five assists, three rebounds and three steals.

The primary difference statistically (besides the final score) came at the foul line: Utah 21-29, the Bears 5-12. It's hard to win when more treys are attempted (14) than free throws.

From Hoopville: "...There was a scary moment for Ute fans in the second half, as star guard Delon Wright had an awkward landing and limped off the court. At first he was putting no weight on his right leg at all, but he was eventually able to limp off and into the locker room – and then he returned. They will evaluate him on Monday..."
