A pair of Napa Valley College players are moving on

From NVC Basketball: "So proud of these 2 great young men. Jalen Dupree signs w/ AK-Fairbanks and Sita Sesay w/ Panhandle. 8 signees in 3 yrs."

Dupree is a 6-foot sophomore point out of Vallejo High who averaged 10.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists this season.

NVC Coach Steve Ball: "I am extremely proud of Jalen for the achievement of his life-long goal of competing at the university level. In his two years as a member of the Storm basketball family, Jalen has dedicated himself to making himself and his teammates better. He put in the long hours outside of practice time to improve his game and is a model for what the community college system is about."

Continued Ball, "He worked hard in the class room to maintain over a 3.7 grade point average while exceeding his obligations to the basketball program. In addition to his studies and work on the court, Jalen worked with at risk kids in the little free time that he had in his schedule."

Sesay put up 5.6 points and 4.2 rebounds a contest. He was born in Sierra Leone and raised in New York City. Sesay posted a 3.52 grade point average last year.
