Thursday: Feather River 90, East Los Angeles 76

Powered by five players scoring in double figures, Feather River College bopped East Los Angeles College 90-76 on Thursday in Livermore to advance to the CCCAA Final Four. Anthony Smith led with 22 points (20 in the second half), Jamel White tallied 19, Derrick Randolph 15 plus Kevin Swint and Chris McDonald totaled 10 apiece.

* FR enjoyed 56 points in the paint to 36 for the Southlanders

* The victors shot 58% overall to 35% plus 3-21 from long distance for East Los Angeles. What aided the ELA cause was getting 35 free throw attempts to 21 for the Golden Eagles

* FR's big Lamous Brown played just 14 minutes due to foul trouble and left at the 2:46 mark. Teammate Derrick Randolph also committed five fouls but played until the 1:16 mark of the second half.

* Roderick Williams produced 13 points in the first 20 minutes but just seven in the second session for East Los Angeles.

Feather River and Fullerton will now battle each other at 1:00 p.m. Saturday as part of the Final Four at Las Positas College.
